It's an old book, but, Norman Vincent Peal's Power of Positive Thinking is one of the best books I've ever read that I feel you may benefit from. Actually, all of his books are wonderful. But, start with that one.

You should try reading the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren This is such a great book and will answer all the questions you posted up there. The cool part about this book is that you don't read it like any other book, each day you read one chapter ( they are usually 2 - 3 pages long) Then on the next day you do the next chapter. In total it has 40 chapters. This one of the most famous books in the world that helped Christians have a stronger faith on their religion. I'm a 15 year old who didn't know who in the world was God. When I read this book it change my life completely, my faith is stronger than ever. This reflects on everything, including the stories that other people went through and how they learn from their mistakes. Trust me it is worth getting, you can also find it at your local library. Good luck and I hope you get the chance to read this amazing book. Also don't worry about not understanding, this book is so easy to understand that even I a 15 year old could understand everything perfectly.

I have no idea what can really benefit us as a christian unless it's the bible. I do know this faithful christian radio station. They also have a website. They have free materials that you can ask for. You can also ask for cd's yes, it is all free. I love listening to family radio. You can go on the website for bible studies. It's wonderful!
